Why did you enter the Wales Food and Drink Awards?
We were excited to take part in an event focussed solely on the Food and Drink industry in Wales, something that showcases everything that’s brilliant about Welsh food and drink.
What does winning a Wales Food and Drink Award mean to your business?
We feel very honoured to have been recognised within such a vibrant and innovative sector. It reinforces everything we do, and gives us confidence to continue.
How do you strive to make a difference in the Wales Food and Drink market?
We are always looking to see where we can add value – where the gaps are and how we can fill them with something meaningful, that will complement the offerings that are already on the market.
What do you see as the biggest challenge for the sector?
Currently, cost of living and the squeeze on household budgets which will inevitably impact on purchasing decisions.
What are your goals for the next 12 months?
To increase the visibility of our single malt Welsh whisky project.
What is the biggest lesson you have learned in the past year as a company?
That if you are prepared to put the effort in to a project, it usually pays off – and if it doesn’t move on.
What is one piece of advice would you give to any aspiring business owner?
Never be afraid to try something different.
What did you think of the awards ceremony?
We loved the awards ceremony – such a fantastic opportunity to get together with others and celebrate the best of the industry after an incredibly tough couple of years.
