Why did you enter the Wales Food and Drink Awards?

We realised it would provide great awareness for our business and products enabling us to reach an even bigger trade customer and also consumer base.

What does winning a Wales Food and Drink Award mean to your business?

We were absolutely delighted to win and be recognised at the Start Up Business of the year for Wales. On the back of this win it has enabled us to continue to grow by expanding our customer and consumer base and also launching new products to market.

How do you strive to make a difference in the Wales Food and Drink market?

We are passionate about creating healthy, plant based, 100% natural products without compromising on their great taste.  Our products have also been developed to fight food waste by having a naturally longer shelf life.

What do you see as the biggest challenge for the sector?

The rising inflation has inevitably impacted costs for all and also put pressure on consumers disposable income, hence making it even more important to manage your cost base and create great tasting products which stand out in the market.

What are your goals for the next 12 months?

We are looking to continue our national expansion, expand overseas into none UK markets and also launch some unique NPD to market.

What is the biggest lesson you have learned in the past year as a company?

The continued importance of keeping an absolute focus on costs.

What is one piece of advice would you give to any aspiring business owner?

Make sure you are absolutely passionate about your business idea which will stand you in good stead in the face of the inevitable challenges.

What did you think of the awards ceremony?

A great event and it was lovely to be in the company of so many great Welsh food and drink businesses.
