Llongyfarchiadau! Congratulations to Tiny Rebel on winning Local Community Award 2022.

Why did you enter the Wales Food and Drink Awards?

We truly love our staff. The people who work with us make us what we are and recognising our Rebels for their hard work through an award at the Wales Food and Drink Awards we thought would be fitting.

What does winning a Wales Food and Drink Award mean to your business?

We knew these awards would quickly gather pace and be prestigious so winning an award or even being shortlisted is hugely complementary.

How do you strive to make a difference in the Wales Food and Drink market?

Innovation, not just with products but also throughout all areas of the businesses. Our team is extremely important so we put a lot of emphasis into training and developing them to excel their potential.

What do you see as the biggest challenge for the sector?

Innovation within the market and, like any other business at the moment, increasing costs.

What are your goals for the next 12 months?

Our three main goals are to diversify our product range through the launch of our spirit collection later this year, to be even more CSR focussed, and to place more emphasis on employee learning and development.

What is the biggest lesson you have learned in the past year as a company?

Collaborative working and increased communication is key in a growing team.

What is one piece of advice would you give to any aspiring business owner?

Be brave and always do the right thing.

What did you think of the awards ceremony?

We had a fabulous night! It was a great opportunity to network with other aspiring Welsh businesses. So inspiring!
