Llongyfarchiadau! Congratulations to Cradoc’s Savoury Biscuits on winning Artisan Business of the Year 2024!

How does it feel a month on from winning the award?

Winning this Award has made the whole company feel very proud! In the days after the ceremony the  Award sat on my desk and the gals picked it up and polished it, or just smiled as they gave it a hug!! We were all very pleased and delighted that our dedication and hard work had been recognised.

What is one piece of advice would you give to any aspiring business owner?

My advice. You will need :-

Faith in your product. Pour all your energy into making it the best it can possibly be in the early days and then cost it accurately. If you still love it- then everyone will love it too.

The best packaging you can afford. It the first big tool in the box for getting your product out into the world.

An Annoying abundance of energy and enthusiasm for developing your Sales Skills – Learn how to Sell your product and teach everyone close to the product

To ask for help from the truly wonderful experts on offer to Welsh F&D businesses

Grow carefully, nurture your product, invest in your business skills and play the long game.

To work harder than your friends!  Don’t expect to conquer the world overnight!  It happens – but at a cost.
